Overcast maintains a full DRP that describes the measures to be taken in order to keep Overcast operational even in the event of a catastrophic failure. The plan outlines the overall approach but does not go into the exact detail of how each system is backed up – this is covered in our internal systems documentation.
In the unlikely event that we were to lose complete access to an AWS region, we have backups stored in different regions which we can spin up. Depending on how much of the services are lost, only services that are not replicated in other locations will be out of service.
Overcast maintains backups of all parts of our systems under control.
