Role Overview

We’re looking for a high-energy, self-starting Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team. As the first point of contact for many of our prospects, you’ll be responsible for generating pipeline and qualifying opportunities across the UK and Europe.

This is a unique opportunity to work in the high-growth cloud video technology space. If you are passionate about media, content, and helping organisations solve video management challenges—this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities across enterprise and media clients.
  • Build and manage outbound lead generation campaigns in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
  • Qualify inbound leads through calls, emails, and discovery meetings.
  • Book meetings and demos for the senior sales team with key decision-makers.
  • Research target accounts and develop tailored messaging to drive engagement.
  • Work closely with the Senior Sales Lead, CTO, and Customer Success to understand buyer personas, market needs, and product differentiators.
  • Maintain accurate lead and opportunity records in the CRM.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing Overcast at industry events, virtual conferences, and webinars.

Skills & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a sales or business development role (preferably B2B SaaS or media tech).
  • Proven success in lead generation, pipeline building, and appointment setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong interest in media, video technology, and cloud-based SaaS platforms.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders in enterprise companies.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
